In 2016 we embarked on a journey...
Our mission was to create the best hand grips in the world. RooGrips are made for those who have a deep appreciation of quality, design and details.
We chose kangaroo leather for its unique properties of strength and durability. Kangaroo leather is ten times stronger than bovine, so this allows us to use slimmer leather than traditional grips that provides athletes with a much more tactile experience.
Every single aspect of our grips has been carefully considered and has been through many iterations. We reviewed hundreds of leather samples with various treatments and embossments before landing on the leather that you find on RooGrips today, which is treated with a special combination of oils to give it a luxurious and comfortable feel.
We have also been through many iterations of the strap, the buckle and the stitching, with a primary focus on providing athletes with the most comfortable, functional and durable grips. The design of the grips has also evolved too, from two fingers to three fingers & fingerless and most recently the PRO grips; to meet the varying needs of athletes all over the world.
Just like the sport of functional fitness, our journey has just begun…
K-Leather
K-Leather is the strongest leather fibre structure readily available. Recent studies have suggested links between the kangaroo fibre matrix and that of mions (birds) and reptiles. This ultimately has been further linked to a prehistoric fibre structure – one that evolved from animals needing to survive in the harshest environments against many predators – almost a fibre structure that time forgot!
How is it sourced?
We are proud to source all of our kangaroo hides responsibly and ethically from an open range environment, following the national code of practice for the humane treatment of kangaroos. Moreover, its long-lasting nature contributes to a more positive environmental impact as it minimizes the need for frequent grip replacements.

Best Grips On The Market
After my original RooGrips wore out, I tried a rival brand for a few months but did not enjoy them at all. Coming back to the RooGrips I realize that they really are the best grips on the market hands down!

Excellent Choice
Went from $20 2 finger gloves to these roo 3 finger ones.....what a difference. The thickness and quality is top notch....you defintely get what you pay for.

Awesome
I love my new 3 finger Roo Grips! I was worried they would be hard and need time to break in but they arrived and were so soft and flexible. They give great coverage across your whole palm and the thick wrist strap gives added support. I would highly recommend these grips, they’re worth the $$

Amazing!
I absolutely love them! They have stopped my hands from ripping, I’ve added more reps in all of my movements including T2B and pull ups and most of all they’re super comfortable to wear.
